Sri Lanka will implement a set of new protocols with regard to disposal of dead bodies of persons infected with Covid 19 with effect from midnight on March 05, 2022. The relevant instructions were issued on 2nd March 2022 by the Director-General of Health Services of the Ministry of Health, Government of Sri Lanka, and is attached hereto. Consequently, the status quo ante relating to burials predating the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic will be restored.
