Katina DC Temple16.10.2022

Following the rain retreat, Vas Kaala, on 16th October 2022, Maha Sangha led by Ven. Maharagama Dhammasiri Thero was offered with Robes celebrating meritorious Katina Pooja, a Theravada Buddhist tradition at the Washington D.C. Buddhist Vihara.

Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe and the members of the staff along with their families also participated in the Katina Pooja.

The Washington Buddhist Vihara is the first Theravada Buddhist Temple established in the United States in 1962 under the auspicious leadership of the late Most Venerable Maharagama Madihe Pannaseeha MahanayakaThero.
