Since the assumption of duties as Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States from December 2021, Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe has reached out to a number of key Senators and Congressmen/women with the objective of updating them on the latest socio-political-economic developments in Sri Lanka. During this period, Ambassador Samarasinghe has in particular reached out to members of the House and Senate Foreign Relations Committees as well as key committees such as the Appropriations Committee. Ambassador Samarasinghe will continue to engage with other leading personalities in the House and Senate in the coming weeks – months.
