Sri Sambuddhaloka Vihara in Hagerstown celebrated Vesak on Sunday, 29th May 2022 under the patronage of Ven. Karaputugala Indrarathana Thero with the participation of Theros from several temples in Washington D.C.

The newly constructed temple was inaugurated on the same day in the presence of the Sri Lankan Buddhist community. The event consisted of an Atavisi Buddha Pooja, chanting Thun Suttas, Dhajagga, Mahasamaya & Atanatiya and concluded with a Sethpirith sermon invoking blessings to all devotees.

Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe along with diplomatic officials and members of the staff of the Embassy attended the religious event.
