Vesak VW 2022 1

At the dawn of the spiritual month of Vesak, on 15th May 2022, Agga Maha Panditha Ven. (Dr.) Henepola Gunaratana, Chief Sangha Nayaka for North America,  Abbot of Bhavana Society in West Virginia celebrated Vesak and the 40th  Anniversary of Bhavana Society amidst a multi-national and multi-ethnic reverends and participants.

A specially crafted statue of Gautama Buddha flown from Sri Lanka was also unveiled marking the 40th Anniversary of the oldest forest monastery in the United States. Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe along with senior diplomatic officials participated in the religious programme.
