Ambassador Mahinda Samarasinghe on Thursday, December 22, met with Richard Duke, Deputy to the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy on Climate (SPEC), John Kerry, at the Department of State, Washington D.C. Sri Lanka’s contribution to global efforts to combat climate change and international cooperation in this critical area was discussed. Amelia VanderLaan, Regional Climate Officer, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, Department of State was associated with the Deputy SPEC at the meeting.
