Hotline set up for Hurricane affected Sri Lankans in the U.S.

Having considered the adverse weather conditions caused by Hurricane Irene in the Eastern Coast and the devastation it could produce, The Embassy of Sri Lanka has opened a hotline for all Sri Lankans and Sri Lankan Americans to contact Embassy officials around the clock if required.

Under the directions of His Excellency Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya, Embassy officials are on continuous watch with a view to provide maximum possible assistance to any Sri Lankans who may be affected by the adverse weather conditions.

Whilst wishing safety to all, the Embassy of Sri Lanka requests the assistance of Sri Lankans in the U.S. to convey this message to all Sri Lankans residing in the danger areas, in the path of the hurricane.
