CITIZENSHIP
CERTIFICATES OF CHILDREN BORN IN USA
There are large number of unclaimed
Citizenship Certificates of the children whose births
were registered at the Embassy of Sri Lanka Washington
DC during the period of 2003-2009. This Mission already
started mailing to the addresses given by applicants/parent.
However we came across that a large amount of Certificates
mailed have been returned due to changes of residences/addresses.
We appreciate if the parents who
registered their children's birth during 2003-2008
could contact the Embassy and check with Consular
Officer at the Embassy whether your child’s
Citizenship Certificate has been processed. Please
also share this information with your friends or relatives
who are waiting to receive the Citizenship Certificate
of their children.
For further information, you may
contact the Consular Division of the Embassy at (202)
483 4026 ext. 8121 or email consular@slembassyusa.org.
